Sheffield at hub of bartering revival

EBB-Euro Barter Business UK Ltd, has revived the cashless market place - thousands of businesses are set to benefit.

Sheffield Chamber of Commerce has partnered with EBB to offer a unique barter online trading facility to members.

EBB-UK is the 12th international office to open since EBB started in 1989 and is a further indication of the growth of the sector.

EBB operates and manages a cashless marketplace, which is modeled upon over 30 years of American experience of organised barter, where global transactions, valued at more than £5bn annually, are generated by 500,000 companies.

Barter is the exchange of goods locally, nationally and internationally without exchange of money, a form of trading, despite its historic origins, that is a modern, practical and effective financial tool enabling companies in all sectors of industry and commerce to trade using surplus assets or excess capacity.

EBB UK has taken this one step further and has developed an online trading system which allows members to buy and sell 24 hours a day.
